Laying a Solid Foundation for Volunteer Engagement
Whether you just stepped into volunteer management or have an established track record and volunteer program at your organization, this workshop is for you! Join us for an interactive, deep dive into the key elements of effective volunteer engagement and the necessity of preparedness. After reviewing the components of a comprehensive program, you’ll individually use a benchmarking assessment tool to evaluate the readiness of your organization to successfully engage volunteers. Once you have identified your program’s current strengths and opportunities, you’ll begin setting priorities and next steps to meet your agency’s needs. Group discussions and partnering activities round out the session and make for a lively, informational seminar! Topics include program oversight, administrative functions, recruitment, orientation and training, program tracking, feedback and the importance of a positive volunteer culture.

Additionally, we will discuss specific steps you can take to communicate the value of your work to internal and external stakeholders. Your time, your energy and your role matter!
